Where we Started!

Toronto, Ontario, had several of these American LaFrance Type 33 city service ladder trucks. They were rebuilt in the late 1930’s, and the American LaFrance engines were replaced by Ford flathead V-8’s. Reg.
No. 4319 served H & L 24 for many years before being retired in the late 1950’s. The Tillsonburg, Ontario: Shrine Club bought it and still uses it in parades today. Here is what the stripped rig looked like when the Shriners got it.
